  • Hornet Hobbies has a great line-up of clinics that we organize to help you expand your techniques and skills. Choose from Airbrushing Techniques, Weathering Armour, Airplanes or Trains, as well as clinics focusing on ground work and scenery for dioramas and train layouts.

    All clinics are held at Hornet Hobbies downstairs in our clinic room, and are open to all ages and abilities. If you have a suggestion for future clinics, or want us to put together a session for you and your group, we will do our best to create the right event for you.

    F. F. Worthington AMPS Chapter

    Dates: This club meets on the second Sunday of the month, 1:00 - 4:00pm
    This meeting of one of the F. F. Worthington Armor Modeling and Preservation Society (AMPS) Chapter will be highlighted by a presentation by Harvey Low. Harvey will spend 30 minutes on WW2 Japanese Tank and Crew Uniforms, Colours and Markings. He will show a number of artifacts in the slideshow from his own collection of personal gear, along with his interpretations of colours based on years of research.

     

    IPMS "Buzz" Beurling

    Dates: This club meets on the third Saturday of the month
    The Buzz Beurling modelling club is an informal group who meets to build and discuss airplane modelling while enjoying each other's company.

     

    Southwestern Ontario Figure Club

    Dates: This club meets on the third Saturday of the month, 2:00 - 5:00pm
    The TAPS modelling club is mainly composed car modellers, but members do build all subjects. Members will bring out their tools and latest model to work on. It's an excellent way to see what techniques and tools that your fellow modellers use.
